Allowance Lite

We decided to make a lite version of Allowance so people could get a taste for the basic style of the app. This way you can try out one account and see how it works for you – for free.

It only has the basic features, so you can enter and delete money, set reminders and see the fun facts, but you don’t have access to repeat reminders, setting up the children’s names, creating 4 accounts, adding the child’s photo, the balance sheet and a few other goodies so you really will want to update to the paid for version to get all the joys out of the fully fledged app.

We wanted to give folks a flavour of what we are trying to achieve so we hope you like it. This app will always be free but it’s unlikely it will get other features added.

Lil Tweet

Lil Tweet was the first app we made as a challenge to create a small creative way to use the social service Twitter.

This app enables you to send a tweet from the app, anonymously, as a dedicated account. It is a 59p app that was created to take through the whole process of design to submission to publishing on the App Store.

It’s currently version 1.1 as it had one minor update to it in June 2010. However, it is under design concept again as we want to submit and upgrade to the look and the way it works. This should be out in a few months.

The app is suitable for all the iOS devices but you will need internet connectivity in order to post a tweet from it.

Apps and Hats (App)

Apps and Hats (App), May 2009
I made this tabs based design app that loaded the webpages about the show, which taught me a lot about iPhone app design. It’s a free app to support the show.

The Apps and Hats app was to accompany the quirky iPhone app review show. This was made so folks could access the latest episodes, read the tweets from the twitter account and see images from the show.

You could also enter competitions and email to send review requests or let us know about your favorite app.

app

I have been wanting to update this app for a long time and have finally submitted a 2.0 version. I re-made the app, and it’s now looking slick on the retina devices. Although the show is no longer going, the app is still on the app store as a free app and I didn’t want something on the store that didn’t represent the apps I make. That’s why I decided to update it rather than just pull it because it’s an app that means a lot to me because of the affiliation with the show, but also it was the first proper app I made and is what has really given me the bug for making apps.

Update

It’s still free and while people are still downloading it I’ll keep it on there. Oh – the logo doesn’t have gloss, it’s just looking that way at the moment while it’s waiting for review.

The show is currently taking a break but the app is still available for all the archived videos and photos.

Lil Tweet

Lil Tweet (iOS App), May 2009
This is the first app I made. I was exploring the idea of an anonymous twitter account for users. The app let you post from a pre-created account. Lil Tweet was the first app we made as a challenge to create a small creative way to use the social service Twitter.

Apps & Hats (Video Show)

 Apps & Hats (Video Show) International 2009 – 2010

Concept created early 2009 and first episode aired in March.  We were a “Quirky online show reviewing iPhone applications”.  We wear unusual clothing items from Victorian to sharp suits. Video Webcasts show there is a lack of females in the UK presenting these. The show was viewed on Miro, Blip, Youtube, Vimeo, Viddler, and Mevio, who have 5 million unique hits monthly (we are getting around 60K monthly Kenneth uniques from that site alone). We have caught the attention of app fans worldwide with our unique take on it. No one does what we do. We did 38 Episodes, with around 1000000 hits. Continue reading Apps & Hats (Video Show)
